Designed and developed an AI-powered knowledge chatbot (Hopbot) for the website of Belgian beer journalist and expert Geert Van Lierde. The chatbot was built to make Geert’s extensive knowledge about Belgian beer and beer culture accessible through an interactive AI assistant. By using a structured knowledge base based on his articles and expertise, the chatbot can answer questions about beer styles, breweries, brewing traditions, and Belgian beer culture. The goal of the project was to create an intelligent assistant that helps visitors quickly find reliable information about Belgian beer, while preserving the depth and expertise of Geert Van Lierde’s work. The project included designing the conversational flow, structuring the knowledge base, and implementing the AI chatbot on the website to improve the visitor experience and make expert knowledge more accessible.
