We're seeking an experienced freelance senior developer or small development team to build a sophisticated, governance-heavy SaaS platform designed for regulated environments. This is a considered, production-grade build where correctness, compliance, and architectural integrity take precedence over rapid iteration. You'll be working on a project that demands both technical excellence and deep understanding of regulatory constraints.
Your responsibilities will include architecting and implementing multi-tenant architecture, designing and building role-based permissions systems, implementing comprehensive audit logs, and developing server-side AI with strict guardrails. On the frontend, you'll work with React Native for mobile and Next.js for web applications, while building robust backend APIs that support these layers. This role requires someone comfortable making thoughtful trade-offs between feature velocity and governance requirements—someone who understands that in regulated spaces, restraint and correctness are competitive advantages.
You should have a proven track record shipping production SaaS applications and be comfortable navigating the complexities of building under governance constraints. Due to collaboration needs and regulatory context, we're prioritising contractors and teams based in the UK, Europe, or North America with working-hours overlap. Full technical specifications will be shared under NDA with qualified candidates.
Are you the freelance Senior SaaS Platform Developer we're looking for? Share your hourly rate (excluding VAT), availability, relevant SaaS products you've shipped, and a brief cover letter or portfolio. After screening, we will present your profile to the client and arrange an introductory meeting if there is interest.
